Bristol East Side Traders (BEST) was set up in 1999 by inner city traders to foster a thriving local economy for the benefit of all who live and work here.

In 2007 we purchased two buildings to help address the dire shortage of quality affordable workspace in the area, while preserving them from a future as residential flats.

Backed by EU money and working with local companies we refurbished the sites at an overall project investment of £1million. The concept was to create distinctive sites that take the strain out of occupying workspace by giving tenants both the services they need, and enterprise support.

Today these buildings are retained for their communities, and make a physical contribution to the diverse, creative, enterprising economy of the East Side.
